La sua esistenza è nota attraverso testimonianze mwcqnumismatiche consistenti in mwcgmonete di bronzo coniate nel mwcwIV o nel mwdaIII a.C., dove figurano le iscrizioni «ΒΟΙΩΝΙΤΙΚΟΝ» o «ΒΟΙΩΝΙΤΙΚΟΣ».cite-ref-han-1-0[1]

La maggior parte delle monete sono state trovate nella valle del mwegfiume Ermo e lo stile è simile a quelle di Larisa Friconida, ma la posizione esatta del ritrovamento non è nota.cite-ref-han-1-1[1]
